Green Tea Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Sushi in western NC is very hit and miss. The Green Tea Room knows their fish- sample their sashimi and try for yourself- escolar, tuna and salmon were luscious, fresh, generous cuts, just amazing. We sampled many dishes over lunch, each was perfection as if we were on the coast. Presentation immaculate and service was fantastic. Even for our hour drive ( for dr visit) this was well worth the drive. Thank you all for your diligence in providing a fantastic dining experience!

Very tasty food and a nice decor in the inside of the building. I ordered the sweet potato roll, the joy roll, and the udon noodles with veggies and tofu. Every dish was flavorful and seasoned properly. It was also not badly priced as I will be able to make multiple meals out of it. I will definitely be back! Ps-I ordered takeout and I was super impressed by the tote bag that they gave me. It felt so much nicer than a traditional brown paper bag that leaks everywhere. *Update: I removed my five star to a four star review because I ordered the same dish a couple days after since I was so impressed, but ended up being so disappointed as this time, the dish was not as flavorful as the previous dish I ordered.. In my original dish, they added seasoned tofu, but this time it was just plain tofu with no flavor. I also got an avocado and bean roll to try but both of those were also very unflavorful… I feel like I would come back to get udon noodles here and there, but I don’t know for anything else :/ Also, this time, they gave me a brown paper bag, which is fine, but it was a disappointing downgrade to the original tote bag that they provided.

Food was good, service was horrible. I came in on my birthday, wanted to get a nice meal. They don't do anything at all for birthdays, a little disappointing but not a huge deal. Our server barely spoke and disappeared after giving the check. Auto gratuity of 20% for a party of 5, that's ridiculous. We had to bring our plate to the front for a box because he did not come to collect our checks and check on us. Server was very smug and made me feel like a fool, told me I should have gone somewhere else if I had any expectation of good treatment on my birthday. Very disappointing.

The food was delicious, and the sushi was super fresh. The service was very friendly and fast.

I absolutely love the decor and vibe at this restaurant. It's so attractive and pleasant. My husband and I went on a Friday evening and had a great meal. We ordered coconut shrimp and several rolls. Everything was wonderfully prepared. Highly recommended!
